SQUAD

Yall..... So I'm in my feelings right now. I want to take a moment to show my squad some love. You know, ya girls, ace's, ride or dies, petty partners... The girls that hold you down when shit is bad... and when shit is AMAZING!  I don't have a sister so my girlfriends really mean a lot to me. They aren't friends to me, they really are my sisters, though I'm not sure if I ever told them that. lol! Every woman needs a squad for multiple reasons. I'll list some below:

• To keep you sane when your husband/kids are driving you INSANE! 
• To call when you need advice. I call my squad a lot for advice. Some more than others because every squad member has an area of expertise. I have one friend that I know I can call on for business advice and one I can call on for petty advice, actually, that might be the same person. HA! But you get what I'm saying, right? Know your squad's strengths.
• A hype woman. So this I love because every girl needs that cheerleader. That one friend that will buck you allllll the way up, but be honest! You know when you are talking about yet another million dollar business idea and it's really more like a 20 dollar business idea. That hype woman will say.. " Girl! I love the way you're always thinking outside the box.... but you might want to keep that idea taped up in that box" HA! You should see my group chat! lol
• The smart one. HA! Now I don't mean this friend has a million degrees and uses words that you pretend to know, yet googling in mid-convo when she is talking. I mean the smart friend that is constantly feeding themselves with knowledge. That could mean they are constantly reading, self-teaching ... just always learning and making themselve better. I'm a true believer that if you are the smartest person in your squad, you need to get a new one. You should surround yourself with women that you can learn from and that can learn from you.

 Lord knows I can go on and on about the importance of a squad but we don't have that much time. I just want to say that I love my girls and I'm thankful to have them in my life. I feel every woman needs to show some appreciation to your girls from time to time and let them know how much they are valued. So call your squad, get a girls night going and just have fun and appreciate one another. And drop me a comment about your squad and what they mean to you.
