My Essence Fest sip and shop recap!

Oh what a night! Lynn aka Nola housewives and I had a blast throwing our very first Essence Fest kick off party. I can honestly say I’m still on cloud nine! The amount of support we received was amazing. So if you attended, THANK YOU! If you didn’t make it, no worries there will be another one. Promise!

When Lynn and I decided to throw this event we wanted to make sure our event had a purpose. From choosing a black owned restaurant that was slightly off the beaten path to exposing local vendors to our guest. It was all planned out. As you know I am a big supporter of small businesses and if there is any way I could help amplify them, then I’m all in. That is what this party was about. Bringing women (and some men) together for a fun night out while shopping and drinking some pretty amazing cocktails NOLA style.

Again, if you missed this event, no worries! There will be another Essence kick party next year. Until then make sure to follow Lynn and I for updates on our next event coming soon. The food and Venu

Our event was held at my new favorite hidden gem. CRU. If you aren’t familiar with this gem, I highly suggest you make your way there. From the beautiful court yard to the yummy cuisine. You will fall in love your first visit. Make sure to check them out for happy hour and their famous drag brunch!

Flash Fried Brussels Sprouts were a big hit!

Here is one of our signature drinks. One was called the Influencer the other one (pictured) was called the socialite. Please don’t ask me what was in it. Because I can’t remember. I do remember they were very good! :-)
